Wow. Unexpected. A floor crosser of sorts, to the #BCNDP.
Not quite as direct as the federal Conservatives to Liberals and from a contested BC Interior riding as well.
The NDP will have a 1-seat majority in the BC Legislature.
I don't see this helping Eby's popularity nor does it look good for the new BC Conservative leader.
The BC NDP needs to have an open leadership race asap so it can hand the torch to someone who connects with the population again.

"Mainstreet was transparent that the survey was commissioned by the campaign of Peter Milobar, the Kamloops Centre MLA who it found to be one of the two leading candidates among respondents who had decided who to vote for.
The Milobar campaign’s release, in contrast, called the survey an “independent poll” by an “independent pollster” and failed to note its own connection to it.”

Achievement unlocked! Emailed the offices of the #BCNDP #BCCP #BCGreens and every elected MLA. A similar message as last week's to Municipal leaders/staff.
Tweaked the message to emphasize the "BC Made" element in this time of a trade war with the USA.
Bluesky isn't it.
It's a time when people are going to look for locally grown solutions. That includes Social Media!

As long as headlines like this continue to permeate the news cycle over the next 4 days, I feel like the #BCNDP have a good chance of keeping their majority and stopping the onslaught of the regressive, backward, anti-social, nutbar, #BCCP party. The NDP has run a pretty clean campaign to this point.

The last poll listed was on October 6th from Léger and had the NDP 5 points ahead of the Conservatives.
We should get new poll numbers done after the debate by Monday.
Real polling, as in, Advance Voting starts in earnest tomorrow. Advance voting days are October 10, 11, 13, 15, and 16. Likely 8AM to 8PM in your local community or District Elections Office.
Election Day Oct 19 is only 10 days away!

Overall I would say Rustad was on the defensive the most by far but got some of his main points out. Eby attacked the most, sometimes agreeing with Green leader Furstenau. Furstenau avoided attacking the others most of the time but got some digs in. She had the most effective delivery on policy.
