I despise what Bonnie Henry has done to our health care and covid awareness in our communities. She misinformed BC that we only needed vaccines with a thumbs up photo op. Now that her bcndp hasn’t provided us with vaccines in cold season, Bonnie pushes deadly immunity lies to coverup their continued incompetence.
Bonnie Henry is truly a health menace and now right back in our faces barking more nonsense.
I honestly hate this BCNDP, but was one of a couple thousand votes who kept them in power in my riding to avoid a conservative catastrophe.

I support my local trans friends & the larger trans community in being against involuntary conversion therapy for trans minors by their parents. I had supported the #BCGreens on both of their past attempts to get involuntary conversion therapy banned in BC. The #BCNDP tossed it out, both times. The #BCConservatives also support involuntary conversion therapy. #BCGreenParty is the only political party in #BritishColumbia that has consistently fought hard for the rights & dignity of transfolks. The other two parties are transphobic & do pinkwashing PR, while supporting ongoing harms against transfolks.

At least a third of the publicly funded #AddictionTreatment beds #BCgovernment claims are available for drug users across #BritishColumbia do not actually offer treatment, the #IJF has learned.
“B.C. now has 3,645 publicly funded substance-use treatment beds, including 659 beds opened since 2017 with more to come,” the Ministry of Mental Health and Addictions announced in an Aug. 27 press release.
But a breakdown of the available types of adult and youth treatment options provided by the ministry shows that its tally includes 1,232 low-barrier housing beds, accounting for about 34 per cent of the total.
#Addictions treatment is not directly provided in low-barrier housing in B.C., but is part of “a full continuum of support services,” the ministry said in an email to the IJF. This type of facility simply makes shelter available to people who use drugs, without requiring them to abstain or be in treatment.
The news comes as both the #BCConservatives and the #BCNDP government are touting #involuntary addiction care as a solution to the province’s ongoing #ToxicDrugCrisis.

The recent political drama in BC hasn't changed how I am going to vote. I'd rather slit my own throat than to vote for any #conservatives or any #neoliberals. Both of those parties want people like me to die & stop demanding accountability from our government. Of course I won't vote for folks wanting me dead or actively trying to kill me(BC NDP #BonnieHenry #eugenics). I won't vote for committed greenwashers or whitewashers - which both #BCConservatives & #BCNDP have in common, both do #unethical #greenwashing & #whitewashing.
They both #tokenize Indigenous & other #POC folks when it benefits them but neither of them give a damn about us!

The consolidation of right wing power in #BCpoli is a clear move of desperation by defeated #bcconservatives.
Without this merger in which they absorb #bcunited (and all their votes) the #cons could simply never win in #BC. What they needed was a monopoly.
Much like #maga #republicans, they had to cheat the system and destoy a party just to get in the polls. Now questionable polls in their favour are all we see. No critical discussion of what occurred, no investigations, just a general consensus that the seedy move put hard right wing power on top.
This is what democracy means to #corporate #fascists, just another system they can deflate and gamify to win. That should tell #bcians everything they need to know about the #bcconservative party.
Are there any legal challenges to this losing #bcunited party joining conservatives? It is surely considered un-democratic to absorb a party so close to an election, harnessing the hype and free publicity to push nonsense puff pieces about cons and libs working together.
Call it what it is, a #conservativetakeover. It is truly dumbfounding and disheartening that this rw #Powergrab has been accepted in #bcpoli #bcmedia without question or concern for its democratic implications.
