For the record, I had no idea that the He-Man movie was being made around the same time my Battle Ram Prototype Project was underway.
I enjoyed the cartoon back in the day, but prefer the canon established by the early mini-comics, prior to the retcon that introduced Prince Adam.
Sounds like the movie writers had an idea similar to what I published in my MotU mini-comic chronology, just not the barbarian part.

Arya's computer model for the Battle Ram Prototype Project was shown by Skele Vader during a Halloween special on YouTube. (The panel at first mistook one of Arya's renders for the source photo!) Unfortunately, though one of the participants knew full well that the Project needed publicity, he remained silent as the others encouraged Mattel to produce a prototype version for sale.

The Battle Ram Prototype Project is an attempt to replicate the geometry of the eponymous toy vehicle, based on its appearance in early photos. Work on the initial free model is pretty much done, after which we move on to fundraising an R/C adaptation, and eventually a life-sized operable version for parades.
The project is currently struggling under a media blackout by prominent sites in the MotU fandom.
