For this inlay I think that the look of the weave stretched by gravity suits it best.

In order to keep that look when I sew it onto the jacket I made a wire hangar for the weave and pinned it to the jacket so I can let gravity keep the weave where I want it.

So I've had several #patches pinned into my jacket for like a year now. The power went out and I thought now would be a good time to sew them in. Still gotta finish the back piece, but it'll be wearable again soon.
