I recently completed a project I've been wanting to do for over 20 years.

I finally had the skills, tools and budget to do it.

I still had one more problem: I needed space. Dutch houses are tiny. Then I overhauled our kitchen to give @madgurl69 more cupboard space using a free set of cupboards that somebody else wanted to get rid off.

It included one that was too tall for the kitchen with an open middle where once a microwave oven stood.
It went in the lounge. The bottom half became the broom cupboard. The very top shelf the drinks cabinet. And that open middle became my #arcade

There are also Space Cadet versions for #VPX that run on all platforms (desktop, mobile, pincab, probably toasters) and play really well and replicate the frantic gameplay of the original.

My pincab runs on #BatoceraLinux, happy to help in case someone is looking for some advice to start :-)

Created a Batocera 42 stick this morning, while ripping DVDs, just to try it out.
RGSX is a brilliant addition and a helpful French enthusiast ( The MiniCake TV) has created a BIOS library that it will download and auto-install to make sure all your saved images work. 👍

Tonight I finally got back to almost par working on my #virtualpinball machine. I had built the standard VPX Windows based box a while back and let me tell you - it SUCKED. Maintenance was almost impossible, and... it just sucked. The games played okay when they played, but debugging problems? Absolute nightmare.

This is now runnign on #batoceralinux and is much easier to maintain. Here's Attack from Mars on it. It's good to be back.

@weebdeluxe If you only want it for retro gaming I can highly recommend #BatoceraLinux else any other Distro will do the magic: https://distrochooser.de/

Milesker infoarengatik!

@esamecar glad to see you are also a #BatoceraLinux and #rg35xxplus addicted 😎

Vorrei comprare un pc desktop nuovo o ricondizionato per installarci https://batocera.org senza svenarmi. Possibilmente a meno di 350€

Avete qualche consiglio da darmi, per favore?

I love how many people talk about 4 GB RAM laptops as old. Of course, they are...but I have a really old Toshiba laptop with 80 GB HDD and 1 GB of RAM...now that's what I call old in my book.
Still, running #antix on it, and I will try to install #BatoceraLinux to make it a #retrogaming laptop. The USB slot evidently doesn't work anymore, so..old school DVD burning we go!

I tried to install #BatoceraLinux on my laptop yesterday. Alas, the gz archive is apparently corrupted, I can't extract the image file from it.
Or is the error on my side? Might be.

Someone is claiming #BatoceraLinux as their own creation and is selling it (along with roms). How do I report this to those who actually made the thing?

And this is the beast. A #LattePanda Delta 3 with #BatoceraLinux installed. I'm working on my own theme, but for now, I'm using Artflix.

Got this Optiplex 5050 small form factor for about $81 to turn into a TV gaming PC, I need to replace the power supply if I plan to use a dGPU, but so far it manages emulation perfectly fine #linux #linuxgaming #batocera #batoceralinux

@batvin3211 thank you for that suggestion! What do you like better about #BatoceraLinux over #chimeraos?
