  13. First up is “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” (youtu.be/cJ5331Ki3u8?si=p0ZC_m) is a combination of the chorale from Johann Sebastian Bach’s Advent cantata “Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben (BWV 147)” and the psalm melody composed composed by German violinist and composer Johann Schop. This Jazz interpretation is performed by the almost EGOT (missing a Tony award) modern New Orleans Jazz man Jon Batiste.
