@Quantensalat I play a lot of transcriptions, some I have no idea where they started off. Found this article https://baroque.boston/js-bach-solo-harpsichord-concertos #BaroqueSun I think the BWV 1060(R) was initially a harpsichord, then a oboe+violin? concerto? There is one for 3 harpsichords that turned into a number of violins etc. Bach and probably contemporaries and even much later transcriptions have given us tons of options for sure.

I'm on the Evangelina Mascardi video. She has a whole slew of lute videos on youtube. Very good but most way too long.

I thought it would be interesting to contrast three versions of the same piece, lute, harpsichord violin.

Now a new to me instrument was the Lute harpsichord! Apparently Bach had several in his estate. I figure this counts !
