This is an even more interesting article about violin placement (re the violin not under the shoulder playing) If I have read this right it appears it was one style of the Baroque.

I know we've featured Hiwote before and I know we've featured this Telemann piece, but I don't think we've featured this combo! The viola is not big enough for it's register, this woman is doing a great job of getting the sound out! Doesn't hurt her viola is huge! #BaroqueSun
