Barnaby’s 7.30 interview was a trainwreck without the dog, stuttering and stumbling without a clear line to justify Hanson's foreign utterances. Hanson is playing the Trumpian game of 1. Say something outrageous; 2. Double down on it; 3. Move the Overton window to the right. Barnaby still thinks it’s the 20th Century and tries to rationalise instead of joining the game.
