  1. Here’s a good #TipODay for those familiar with the cleaning product #BKF #BarKeepersFriend. Or maybe you’re new to it. This is an essential product I keep on hand to really clean stainless steel and aluminum. This photo shows my dog’s water bowl, 15 years old now. I neglected to get a “before” photo but if you enlarge this to see detail on the center of the bowl right where the shine is, there are tiny scratches in the stainless steel. There was a patch of rust there that was growing and couldn’t get it off. About 1” tall and 1 1/“ wide. The new “superior” version of BKF works magically! Definitely worth the 50¢ more than original. It now has 50% more surfactant, as if that matters. It IS. Silica-free, so that’s good. Highly recommend.

  2. #BarKeepersFriend to remove hard water spots from your #windshield, who knew? I had tried Invisible Glass, water & vinegar, water & peroxide, acetone, even hit it with Mothers claybar, nothing worked. BKF did it, and the results are amazing, the windshield looks like I just drove my 17-year-old car off the lot.

I didn't make a slurry like this guy, I just wet everything down, put copious BKF on a damp paper towel, scrubbed, wipe off with microfiber, repeat a few times.
