Ich stelle mir die #Frage, ob es nicht an der Zeit wäre, das #bareos #backup durch ein #proxmox backup (PBS) zu ersetzen. Da ich gerade ohnehin wohl die Backup Platten ersetzen muss, weil das ZFS den Resilver Prozess nicht mehr hinbekommt - aus welchen Gründen auch immer .. kann man ja mal darüber nachdenken. In der Firma klappt das ganz gut, wen man nicht gerade irgendwas mit #Kafka macht. Das nimmt einem selbst die wenigen ms übel.

Yesterday I accidentally destroyed a file I was using in a very active directory.
So I hopped on to the Web frontend to my local backup server, and asked it to restore file X on machine Y from the most recent copy. It worked. (Yay!)
My backup system is #Bareos, a fork of #Bacula. However, I chose it for very specific reasons, and I *don't* recommend it for anyone unless you share the same concerns.
