Karatekas now use only some form of fencing #stance and attack and retreat in a one-dimensional manner all because of the one-hit rule. If you have to hit until your opponent goes down, you will never use the fencing stance. In a #bareknuckle #Kyokushin competition, you don't see people using the fencing stance. Instead most stand like a wrestler with a lot of lateral movements. #martialart

  43. Joe Parish fought 7x in the #PrizeRing 3win4loss, his first organised fight was with Holt in 1816. In 1818 he spent time in the Marshalsea Prison for Assault & in 1833 he was convicted of Stealing & Transported to Australia for 7yrs. He died in #Sydney a free man in 1851 aged 63
