I found this fascinating map of the coal mines around #Stirling #Bannockburn and #Alloa on the end papers of a book which was privately printed for Alloa Coal Company in 1944.
So much #IndustrialHistory has simply been erased, so it is good to have this context.

750 years ago, Scotland was fighting for its existence against English aggression.
