We're celebrating the banjo for #TuneTuesday. I'll stick to an older tune (because otherwise I'd have way too much to share). #BanjoYay
While the banjo brings to mind bluegrass and related forms of white folk music, African Americans invented and developed the instrument and gave it a central role in ragtime and early jazz. Here's a tune featuring the celebrated Johnny St. Cyr on banjo.
