Si toi non plus tu ne sais pas jouer du #ukulélé, astuce : c'est comme le #charango mais avec une corde de moins. Quand j'ai réalisé, c'était comme si j'avais téléchargé un nouveau programme pour cerveau : je me suis mis à pouvoir jouer.
Tiens, pareil le jour où j'ai découvert que la clé de fa (que je n'ai jamais bien lu) c'est les même noms de notes que la clé de sol 1ère (que je lis couramment bicoz vieilles partitions de violon baroque).

My new #banjolele. It's a #ukulele sized and tuned #banjo.

Looking forward to exploring new sounds and styles.

Apparently instead of learning the #ukulele, I should have stuck with my childhood ambition of learning to play the #banjo - I could be making "several dollars" by now! (The problem is that banjos are more expensive than ukuleles.)

#pedantry: It looks to me like the guy in the picture is playing a #banjolele, not a banjo.

I'm on a roll. I had a go at restoring this old #banjolele I've had kicking around for about 15 years. I replaced the vellum and the tuners, cleaned it up (but kept the old paint as I liked the look) and gave it a coat or two of matt varnish. I also added an old Zenit camera neck strap. It's completely playable but does need a new nut, I've found a cable tie works perfectly as a temporary measure. Not sure what's come over me.
