Tawi and Nakht were a couple from ancient Egypt. They probably lived during the reign of Thutmose IV of the Eighteenth Dynasty (roughly 1401 to 1391 BCE; that's 3400 years ago, more or less).

Nakht was an ancient Egyptian official who held the position of a scribe and astronomer of Amun, probably during the reign of Thutmose IV of the Eighteenth Dynasty. He was buried in the Theban Necropolis in tomb TT52. Tawi was Nakht's wife and sister. She was "the singer of Amun" / "the Chantress of Amun" -- a highly religious title.

<<Tawi's role as a singer is directly reflected in the tomb's famous "Three Musicians" fresco. This vibrant painting shows a trio of women playing a harp, a lute, and a double flute. This music was essential not only for entertaining the deceased in the afterlife but also for invoking the goddess Hathor, the patron of joy and music.>>
