  1. OUT NOW: My Dog, My Best Friend (Country Rock Version).
This song tells the story of a man and his best friend, showing that no matter what you lose, you never lose the loyalty of a dog.

Every forever is written in rust ~

The abstraction of distance — the elemental dimension of length — defines the narrow mold into which the experience of time is poured. As we are pulled through this channel, the charge of ourselves passes over the landscape like tinned ghosts, touching nothing, while the land unscrolls beneath us. Yet the overwhelming sensation is that we are motionless, spectators within an enveloping projection.

    Non-music Roundup:
    Audio Crackle

“… Every forever is written in rust is an album of captivating field recordings, hypnotic noise, ghostly drones and mysterious environmental sound phenomena. It’s a fascinating and fleeting audio excursion into uniquely atmospheric territories, and makes for such a strange and compelling listening experience.”

░ Fletina on the Audio Crackle blog.

‘Every forever’ featured on Bandcamp Daily

Every forever is written in rust is one of the estimable selections chosen by Matthew Blackwell for Bandcamp Daily: The Best Field Recordings on Bandcamp, July 2024.

Excerpt: “[The artist] is interested in stillness and motion, either creating great blocks of static ambience or onward-rushing blurs of noise. Every Forever Is Written In Rust combines both, being simultaneously about stasis and movement. … These four long tracks are full of forward momentum while remaining perfectly calm, recreating the feeling of sitting still on a bus as the landscape speeds by. All you have to do as the passenger is listen and let the world reveal itself in gorgeous, painterly detail.”

  4. #BandcampDaily has a slot for The New Wave of Swedish Thrash Metal, and some of the bands are pretty good. Or maybe it's just the nostalgia. :D

  5. The songs reminded me of some of the earliest ideas I had when getting into making music on my own and entering the experimental realm. Some of the works I found the most inspiring were like this. It was the kind of ideas I loved that challenged the notion of “what is music” for me.

  6. I really enjoyed this Bandcamp Daily article about Noah Creshevsky. I didn’t know their music and process and I loved learning more about that. The highlighted tracks are all great.
It has given me an idea for a future project to do. Once I get a few bits about it figured out and I’ve gotten my next release out I think I will do it next.

  7. Nik Bärtsch's Ronin was a favourite of mine during the early 2010s. I'm glad he gathered similar minded artists under the label Ronin. Here they are featured on the Bandcamp Daily:

  8. Number 4 is: Caterina Barbieri - Myuthafoo

I discovered this in a #BandcampDaily article entitled "The Acid Test June 2023". On seeing "Italian modular synthesist" I pressed play and disappeared straight into synth sounds as deep as the vaults below the Vatican. You could listen to this music in 1000 years and it will still sound fantastic.

  9. #BandcampDaily #DougMcKechnie ❝All the rest of the instruments, and there were only four of them at this point, were plugged into studios. They might be used occasionally, but not for live performance. And I was out there with this portable device, and it immediately caused a bit of a stir.❞ daily.bandcamp.com/features/do

  10. #BandcampDaily#Cumbia transforms very quickly, and constantly, and across a number of geographical points, so there is no beginning or end… We’re exploring new ways of interpreting the tropical repertoire and anchoring it in Bogotá, which is far from the coasts and has more of a chilly, Andean culture. Tropicalismo Capital.❞ daily.bandcamp.com/scene-repor

  11. #BandcampDaily ❝It’s really about the physical force of the sound. To me, that’s kind of timeless. The lyrics are very important, and they’re braided into it, but the intensity and the feeling of bringing forth this molten ensemble sound is the main thing.❞ daily.bandcamp.com/features/bl

  12. #BandcampDaily ❝Not being a band with the same members all the time allowed me to bring together musicians from quite different backgrounds, which could produce unexpected results.❞ — David Cunningham daily.bandcamp.com/lists/the-p
