@atomicker @pinhman What's been happening for decades in Canada is ecocidal corporations get multiple weak pollution fines after being busted - usually by whistle-blowers & citizens who do recon/monitor ecocide sites. Most corporations have a huge budget set aside for paying fines & for multiple legal battles. Then a huge disaster or two hits ecocide sites & corporation moves to declare bankruptcy, abandoning everything. Then our governments use our tax funds to pay to clean up messes left instead of strongly going after the polluters. The greasy greedy corporations then re-emerge under new company names & get permits to do more ecocide in different places. Rinse & repeat for decades.

We need to #StopCorporateWelfare & #BanCorporateLobbyists to start ending this type of government aided corruption.
