WERO expandiert und erreicht dann 72 Prozent (!) der Menschen in der EU und Norwegen.
„Für Wero ist das ein großer Schritt, denn durch die Zusammenarbeit bekommt die Bezahl-App Anschluss an rund 130 Millionen Nutzer in 13 europäischen Ländern, die zusammen rund 72 Prozent der Bevölkerung der Europäischen Union und Norwegens abdecken. Auch Länder wie die Schweiz, die schon ein nationales System haben, sollen sich direkt aufschalten können. Technisch wird für den Zusammenschluss eine Art Drehkreuz gebaut, das dann die Interoperabilität ermöglicht.“
