I got the world's cutest little computer over the weekend thanks to @murble! It's a #Vortex86 of some kind, equivalent to a fast #486, and is genuinely #32bit so I shall no longer have to rely on emulation or running 32-bit kernels and libraries on 64-bit hardware for 32-bit testing! Gonna put #NetBSD on there.

But first, because it has no serial port and the only video output is VGA, I need to find a VGA monitor.

No #BananaForScale because I don't like bananas. Have an aniseed twist instead.

it has some bugs, visual glitches & performance issues, but it has more features than cyberpunk at release (eg getting an new haircut)

overall a good experience (I am playing on a laptop on linux btw)

J'avais pas de #bananaForScale et comme je ne suis pas chez moi, j'ai pris ce que j'avais sous le coude pour donner une idée de la taille ;)

Does anyone know what kind of melon this is? Probably easier to find out after I open it up. I thought perhaps honeydew, but it seems more oblong. Canary is similar, but I'm not sure how common those are in local retail.

I've been worried about our #watermelons as I've managed to protect two fruit on the vine from the squirrels and skunks, but while I think we're past normal #watermelon harvest season, they haven't looked ripe yet.

We'd never been able to grow them before but having good luck this time. Using all the ripeness tests has been inconclusive. Yellow spot on bottom, brown tendrils, rind gone dull, hollow sound, date? Hit and miss on those tests.

Going to open one up…
