I invite any of you who advocate for ABA or who believe behavioral modification is acceptable for autistic and special needs individuals to look at these two pictures. This is Isaiah Tremell and his sister, Alexia, alongside a very young Kirk Murphy, who took his own life in 2003 after enduring conversion therapy under Dr. Ole Ivar Lovaas—the founder of ABA.

I'm regularly confused why anyone, especially parents of Autistic children, would think ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) is a good thing.

Sure, it might make your child compliant at moments when you want to do show-and-tell with your "friends", but you will be generating lifelong trauma.
