After the Sacramento Gold Miners joined the Canadian Football League in 1993 and despite some scepticism and opposition, the league sought to grow its footprint in the United States with additional teams in 1994 and 1995. Played 32 games in the CFL, winning Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman Award in 1994, the first rookie to do so. Captured Grey Cup with the Stallions in 1995, bringing sadness to Canada. 1st Iranian to play in the NFL, spending time with the Washington Redskins & Pittsburgh Steelers. Career ended by knee injury.
