eine Nation ohne Staat,

mit einer tiefen historischen, sprachlichen und kulturellen Identität.
Trotz ihrer Ressourcen, ihrer großen Bevölkerung und ihrer geostrategischen Bedeutung gelingt es dieser Nation nicht, in einer Welt, die von den wirtschaftlichen und politischen Logiken der #Globalisierung beherrscht wird, eine kollektive Strategie hervorzubringen.
Ein ignoriertes wirtschaftliches Potenzial
Die kurdischen Regionen verfügen über zahlreiche Vorteile:
Öl, Wasserressourcen, landwirtschaftliche Nutzflächen, strategische Korridore, aber auch eine große Jugend und eine aktive Diaspora. Diese Elemente könnten eine solide Grundlage bilden, um ein gemeinsames Wirtschaftsprojekt aufzubauen, internationale Partner anzuziehen oder auf den regionalen Märkten Einfluss zu nehmen. In einer Welt, in der die Globalisierung den Wert von Rohstoffen, aufstrebenden Verbrauchermärkten und lokaler Stabilität erhöht, verfügen die #Kurden über einen echten Hebel.
Da es jedoch an einem einheitlichen politischen Bewusstsein fehlt, bleibt dieses Potenzial ungenutzt. However, in the southeastern regions where the kurdish DEM party is strong, AKP fights dirty:
E.g. in the city of Van, DEM obtained 55% of the votes, but a judge just overturned their victory to hand the mayorship to the AKP candidate, who had obtained only 27 % [1]
People are protesting, the Turkish state cracking down on them.
