This is a pretty bad take. Comparing AI to 19th-century steam engines shows the author either completely misunderstands the argument they decided to take a stance on or is a bad faith actor (shocking).
I don't think the industrial revolution steam engines were illegally stealing something that literally belonged to the workers. I am talking about IP theft.
And maybe if you don't want to pay the cost of making large video games, make smaller games.

Creating exam questions for intro stats, and defaulting, as I sometimes do, to IQ score examples because they're easy to think through (for me). Remembering several years ago a student asking me, with clear anxiety, whether they were "smart enough" for college based on their IQ score. As we talked it became clear they felt guilt and shame about their full-scale IQ score (they apparently got assessed in high school).
IMO the problems with IQ aren't psychometric (the Wechsler tests are extremely good tests, psychometrically speaking); they are cultural. We bundle some heavy stuff with "intelligence," like self-worth, value to others, and I even think I hear hints of morality judgments, sometimes. cognitive abilities don't work that way, but good luck convincing 300 million people. As a teacher one of the little threads of my teaching is helping students question the meaning of intelligence, not just IQ scores (the question of whether/how much those measure intelligence, and how to even define intelligence is a huge can of worms).
Your intelligence has nothing to do with your worth or goodness. It's been deeply disheartening to see the standard right-wing, white-supremacist, misogynist bad actors (incompetently) using IQ research to try to support their racist, misogynist, anti-LGBTQ rants.
As the cold war ended I really thought we were putting this behind us.

Please stop with "autistic people are more moral". It's a modern-day "noble savage" myth. Yes, there are some amazingly good and moral autistic people. I also remember the army of sysadmins, engineers, and mere trolls who brigaded the comment sections of news sites and social media ~2014-2016, terrorizing and shaming minorities, rape victims, bullied children, and grieving parents, the same people who swamped online polls with bots and worked tirelessly to get Trump elected, many referring to themselves as "weaponized autists."
Some #autistic people are victim-blaming, billionaire-worshiping, conspiracy-theory-spreading MAGA followers. There are autistic evangelicals, bitcoin fanatics, and disinformation workers.
These people exist exist in the same universe as every autistic person who behaves in more moral ways, and who thinks more rationally than average.
AFAIK, the cluster of cognitive, social, social-cognitive, emotional, and behavioral differences that define #autism do not map well to morality.
Autistic people are _people_, as it turns out.
