The Raymond Briggs Retrospective at the Bowes Museum has a wall with a white board on it where kids (and big kids) can have a go at drawing their favourite Raymond characters. I once used Microsoft Paint to illustrate a clear and distinct idea. The result was a drawing that depicted an unclear and indistinct idea of a tree of truth tree (it really is a tree, not a mushroom cloud). And thus, I stuck with my philosophy major, resisting the siren call of the art department.
