Thanks to @profbib for the reminder. #BadAxe is a film I am looking forward to seeing. One of the best parts of #michigan is the diaspora communities. It is heartbreaking when #michiganders don't celebrate all they have given our state :(

It may be difficult to watch, but the story of this immigrant family during the pandemic and ensuing rise of far-right ideology in America looks absolutely inspiring.
Though not born in Bad Axe, my mother lived there through age 18, and has good, bad, and some very bad memories of it.
I only experienced Bad Axe during holiday visits with family, and that was way back in the 70s.
