    The Nintendo DS, as well as the 3DS, in GBA BC mode (normally only reserved for the "VC" GBA games that were exclusive to 3DS ambassadors) runs GBA games at a microscopically lower frame rate than the actual GBA, or 0.12% slower. That's about a second of difference every 14 minutes.

    The DS and later divide their clock speeds in DS (not DSi) mode by half to achieve GBA mode speeds. It doesn't cleanly stick to the same exact speed in MHz as the original GBA, being a tiny bit lower.
