Just got the random thought that I'd do super well streaming myself playing #BackToTheDawn.
It's the sort of min-maxing strategy game that gets me easily into hyperfocus mode, the production value in the furry pixel art animation is so impressive that it will surprise anyone who starts watching, and the dialogue is just so good that I could read it all with my own voice for that background noise thing.

#BackToTheDawn ended up actually being quite a disappointment. I have a feeling I got the Bad Ending™, because even though I don't know if there even are alternate endings, it sure seemed so. If that is the case, though, I don't actually know what I was supposed to do in order to get a good ending. And while I guess it's implied, they don't tell you that the game actually does only last until election day; after that, it's over, no matter what you have left that you wanted to do. If I knew that...well, to be honest, I might not have picked up the game, because I really hate games that put you on a timer.
It's a wonderfully-written game, beautiful art, all that stuff, just...I don't think it was really a game made for me. -

Been playing #BackToTheDawn for the last two complete days back to back, and I'm starting to Tetris Effect it. Which, for a game about being in prison, really isn't a good thing, psychologically speaking. Sooo I'm taking a break.

Indeed it is a truly remarkable game. I did four different escape routes already. I loved the Papers Please easter egg and the secret boss fight too.
