Und wieder einmal bewahrheitet sich die Weisheit: "Kaum macht man es richtig, schon klappt es." ☝️
Habe seit gestern einem Fehler in meiner lokalen backstage.io Konfiguration hinterhergejagt. Die umfangreiche Fehlermeldung hat mich auf die falsche Fährte geleitet.
In solch einem Fall hilft es einen Schritt zurück zu machen und versuchen das Problem ganzheitlich zu verstehen.
Fazit: localhost schmeckt backstage.io nicht. Hostname im Netz dagegen schon.

@dantleech interested in understanding more people's experience with them. They have a special section in #backstageio. I've seen limited uptake. My concern is that ADRs would be seen as immutable - things change with fresh perspectives or changing ecosystem.

Giving #backstageio a quick try in the Christmas downtime. So far so good - impressed with how much work has been and the size of the ecosystem already.
Early thoughts about the need to think about degrading gracefully when critical systems are unavailable. I wonder if a Server Side Generated solution has been thought of as a fallback. -
