Another very good post on the backsliding of LGBTQ+ rights. A lot of the commentary on this is US centric for obvious reasons, but we are absolutely kidding ourselves if we assume that progressive parties around the world will not jump to the conclusion that throwing trans people under the buss will save them. This is Charles Michel's invitation letter for the summit with the European Political Community which will take place in Budapest. This is a point that is rarely addressed in analyses of backsliding. Education of people who are key for the rule of law is essential in understanding specific developments.
