Finished Season 1 of Babylon 5. It started out really shaky but I feel like its watchability really improved over the course of the season. Interested to see what happens next!

Which movie, TV show, or book features my favorite aliens?I have to say Babylon 5, at least partly because of the rich culture that came with each race.
Nowadays there are plenty of rich worlds to enjoy full of aliens: Dune, Old Man's War, Star Trek, Star Wars, Galaxy Quest, Farscape.
There's so much out there!

Now we've finished #Babylon5 we watched the "Crusade" prequel film and goodness, was it bad.
Trying Crusade itself, Alden Parker off NCIS is the lead! I think I prefer him in silver fox mode though. -

It's actually the most confusing thing when you have two possible characters..
As in: although the original intent seems to have been to have just one commander throughout the series, #babylon5 can't be imagined now without Sinclair having a replacement

There was a plan to have a Babylon 5 episode be a sequel to an Outer Limits episode from 1964, with the main character coming to the station. The writer of that Outer Limits episode worked on Babylon 5, and both him and JMS clearly stated that both wanted it to be done but it never happened -

Started watching Babylon 5 for the first time and I started off hating most of the characters. Still kind of dislike most of them, but the story has become more interesting over time, and the character and story development has built up in interesting ways. I'm more than halfway through season 1, I think, so my opinion might change once I see more of the show.
It seems this was one of the early serialized tv shows. A lot of tv shows of this time were more episodic, though the show this one is often compared to, Deep Space Nine, was also serialized. But whereas I love Deep Space Nine's characters, my feelings about Babylon 5's characters are much more...mixed. Nevertheless, it has become more entertaining as the show has progressed, so at least there's that.
The alien makeup is decent, but the cgi so far can be...extremely basic. But it was the early 90's, and I wouldn't expect something new like that would've had anywhere near the funding a Star Trek sequel like Deep Space Nine did.
So my verdict so far is: interesting enough to watch regularly but not so compelling that I feel tempted to binge it. My opinion is that it starts off extremely shaky (the pilot movie intro was so boring to me I didn't bother to finish it) and gradually becomes more watchable over time. -

#Babylon5
God,the last few episodes are reminding me of when I left my last workplace, a couple of other people left the same time...and by now I can count the number of people I know there on the fingers of one hand...😢 -
