Babbling brain…
Some days, I feel withdrawn from everything. I struggle to write even the simplest toots, or bits for my blog. Writing replies to others is even more challenging, even when I always enjoy communicating with them. For those reading this, don't feel sorry, you didn't make me reply when I felt this way, I made me reply, because I need to keep a connection, especially on days where I struggle with it... Because if I would stop writing, I would withdraw even more. And it would only get harder and more difficult. Plus, I would start feeling guilty for not getting back to my friends, and they may start to worry about me, and that would make me even more bad....... 😔 But... Other days, my brain seems to be rambling on in a non-stop way with a tremendous speed! And it will overwhelm me, I will try to turn it down a notch, as I know this can only end with me being too exhausted to even try to relax... But, when my brain is "on fire" like that, however much I try, I keep ending up with long textx/replies/blog posts started... And it can be good, at times, to have a way with words. But, as said, at the end of the day, I feel like I've used all the words for the next few days... […] -

I so want to go back to sleep, but what's the point? Ben and Charlie's mealtime is right around the corner. I suppose I should be doing something active to get my blood moving—but that's what the coffee is for, eh. I threw in the 'eh' at the end so that you'd know I'm bilingual. Hmmm. I suspect most people won't get that little quip, but so be it. I can hear a woodpecker pounding away—it almost sounds like it's pounding on the house, but it's a brick house, so more likely a nearby tree. They've been very active of late. I've already written my 'spring is here' note, but spring is here. This morning, if my house were a tower, it would be the Tower of Babble—because that is what I just did.

I'm drawing a blank this morning on anything to write about. Well not completely I suppose, there is religion and politics both of which I have opinions of, but I usually try to steer clear of those subjects on my blog. It rained all day yesterday and it is quite soggy outside this morning, and there is a haze in the air. It looks a bit like the brain fog that I'm feeling. I know ... blah, blah, blah. But some days are just boring, that is a fact of life:

Ben and Charlie are back at home. Charlie woke me this morning with a low ruff, like he was trying to wake me and not disturb anybody else. Right now, Ben is behind my chair snoring. I think his snore sounds like the dishwasher. I didn't know he was in here until I heard him, even then I couldn't see him because he is at an angle that just turning my head to see around the chair doesn't work.
I have a full morning this morning, so I need to get going. I know I want to fill this page quickly, so I do what I sometimes do and just start babbling. Hmmm ... I wonder what the roots of the word babbling are, and if it is related to the tower.

Do you know the technique for counting off the seconds by counting "one one-thousand, two one-thousand, three one-thousand ..." and so on. I use that technique often, and it mostly works okay, but if I'm in a hurry, I count faster😂.
Hmmm ... I don't think I'll finish this morning's babble before mealtime for Ben and Charlie.
Babbling isn't as easy as it sounds and something that I'm unaccustomed to in real life. You see, among other people I'm usually quiet and the fact that I have difficulties understanding what most people are saying only makes it worse. Now days, I even have some difficulties understanding my wife and she must often repeat herself.

That cannot be stressed enough. Things like injecting bleach and shining light inside a person to combat Covid should have been enough for a responsible cabinet to remove him. He is worse than a loose cannon. He is like a defective network component. They are said to be "babbling" - receiving data and making nonsense noises in response, feeding gibberish to all the downstream components

I may have mentioned that I don't like going anywhere and only leave the house out of necessity. All of my needs and wants are right here. Now I just mostly piddle around. Surprisingly, I left the house twice yesterday, once for an appointment and once to go to the store. In the olden days, you might have found me sitting at a bar nursing a beer in my off time. Did you know piddling and babbling are behaviors that complement each other? Piddling involves doing things just to keep busy. Babbling is talking aimlessly about nonsense, kind of what I'm doing now. But I have to go somewhere again this morning, so I need to fill this space quickly. Cheers ;-)
