More safety for women through AI surveillance?

The Berlin police are planning to introduce video surveillance using AI technology at so-called ‘KBOs’ (crime-prone areas) in our neighbourhoods.

This is intended to alert the police to ‘suspicious behaviour’ and constantly monitor us on our streets and in our public spaces.

It is no coincidence that the AI cameras are to be installed precisely in places where the police already regularly harass migrants and where racist police checks are the order of the day.

AI technology allows the police to escalate their racist violence even further.

The state and the mainstream media would have us believe that surveillance is there to protect us.

They claim that migrant men are a threat to us.

They use this narrative to push for racist police checks and digital armament.

But does surveillance really serve to protect us?

Die Berliner Polizei plant, an sogenannten „KBOs" (kriminalitätsbelasteten Orten) in unseren Kiezen Videoüberwachung mit Kl-Technologie einzuführen.

Diese soll der Polizei „verdächtiges Verhalten" melden und uns an unseren Straßen und Plätzen konstant überwachen.

Es ist kein Zufall, dass die Kl-Kameras genau an Orten installiert werden sollen, an denen die Polizei ohnehin bereits regelmäßig migrantische
Menschen schikaniert und wo rassistische Polizeikontrollen an der Tagesordnung sind.

Durch Kl-Technologie kann die Polizei ihre rassistische Gewalt noch stärker ausweiten.

Uns Frauen wird vom Staat und den Mainstream-Medien vorgespielt, Überwachung sei dafür da, um uns zu schützen.

Sie behaupten, migrantische Männer seien eine Gefahr uns.

Dieses Narrativ nutzen sie, um rassistische Polizeikontrollen und digitale Aufrüstung voranzutreiben.

People in the Congo are suffering a brutal genocide, the new Ebola epidemic, and inhumane working conditions in the mines where they are forced to extract rare earths.

Capitalism and colonialism have been killing and displacing millions of people for decades.

We want to find out how we can support the Congolese community and diaspora from Berlin.

Despite having lived in Sweden for 9 years, Bella Demhat @ms_k_bella is now being held in detention pending deportation.

Targeted both as a trans woman and as a Kurdish activist, Bella faces grave danger if deported to Turkey.

Her life would be at risk not only due to state persecution, but also due to the death threats she has received from her family members.

Join us for a day of homemade food and drinks, a flea market, DJs, and qezwan and mokka brewed over hot coals in our garden as we raise funds for Bella.

✨ BEGLEITET UNS ZU EINEM TAG DER SOLIDARITÄT UND FREUNDSCHAFT ✨

Obwohl Bella Demhat @ms_k_bella bereits seit 9 Jahren in Schweden lebt, befindet sie sich derzeit in Abschiebehaft.

Da sie sowohl als Transfrau als auch als kurdische Aktivistin ins Visier genommen wird, droht Bella bei einer Abschiebung in die Türkei große Gefahr.

Ihr Leben wäre nicht nur aufgrund staatlicher Verfolgung in Gefahr, sondern auch wegen der Morddrohungen, die sie von ihren Familienangehörigen erhalten hat.

Seid dabei bei einem Tag mit selbstgemachtem Essen und Getränken, einem Flohmarkt, DJs sowie über heißen Kohlen in unserem Garten zubereitetem Qezwan und Mokka, während wir Spenden für Bella sammeln.

Wir werden außerdem Spenden sammeln, um unsere Freunde zu unterstützen, die die Istanbul Trans+ Pride  @transprideistanbul  organisieren – trotz der zunehmenden Kriminalisierung und Unterdrückung, der sie ausgesetzt sind.

The solidarity group  @auswaerts_solidarity_group  invites you to the fourth and final day of the film festival “Aus der Nacht heraus 8” for an afternoon and evening dedicated to:

Rearmament and War Preparation from Above – Resistance and Organization from Below

For the closing day of the festival, we are gathering on Saturday for a full day of political discussion, live music, internationalist exchange, and collective celebration.

Die Solidaritätsgruppe  @auswaerts_solidarity_group  lädt euch zum vierten und letzten Tag des Filmfestivals „Aus der Nacht heraus 8“ ein – zu einem Nachmittag und Abend unter dem Motto:

Aufrüstung und Kriegsvorbereitung von oben – Widerstand und Organisation von unten

Zum Abschluss des Festivals treffen wir uns am Samstag zu einem ganzen Tag voller politischer Diskussionen, Live-Musik, internationalistischem Austausch und gemeinsamer Feier.

🗯 Die Veranstaltung findet auf Englisch statt.
