Germany is rearming and, to fund this, is cutting back on the welfare state – including social work – more and more.
Just the day before yesterday, the Paritätische published a report on an internal document from the Chancellor’s Office that plans further drastic cuts to youth support and integration assistance.
What can we do about it? The young ‘draft resisters’ in the US in the 1960s and 1970s showed us how to build a broad anti-war movement when they stood up against the US’s genocidal war in Vietnam.
Come along and let’s discuss what we can learn from them and what we can do today.

Deutschland rüstet auf und kürzt dafür den Sozialstaat inklusive der Sozialen Arbeit immer weiter weg.
Erst vorgestern hat der Paritätische einen Bericht über ein internes Dokument des Kanzleramts veröffentlicht, das einen weiteren Kahlschlag der Jugendhilfe und der Eingliederungshilfe plant.
Was können wir dagegen tun? Die jungen "draft resisters" in den USA der 60er und 70er Jahre haben vorgemacht, wie man eine breite Antikriegsbewegung aufbauen kann, als sie sich gegen den genozidalen Krieg der USA in Vietnam gewehrt haben.
Kommt vorbei und lasst uns diskutieren, was wir von ihnen lernen und was wir heute tun können.

A young activist has told us that she experienced sexist police violence during a protest against patriarchal violence in the film industry.
A male police officer slammed her head against a police van and covered her mouth, preventing her from breathing.
This was followed by a 12-hour stay in A&E.
Now she is facing trial. This is not an isolated incident; we can see how the police use excessive force against women who raise their voices against the patriarchal conditions in this country.
We stand in solidarity with our sister and call for a show of solidarity at the trial!

Eine junge Aktivistin hat an uns ran getragen dass sie im Rahmen einer Aktion gegen patriarchale Gewalt in der Filmbranche sexistische Polizeigewalt erfahren hat.
Ein männlicher Polizist hat sie mit dem Kopf gegen ein Polizeiwagen gestoßen und ihr den Mund zu gehalten, sodass sie keine Luft mehr bekommen hat.
Es folgte ein 12 Stundenlanger Notaufnahame Aufenthalt.
Jetzt wird ihr der Prozess gemacht. Das ist kein Einzelfall wir können beobachten wir die Polizei mit massiver Gewalt gegen Frauen vorgeht, die ihre Stimme gegen die patriarchalen Verhältnisse in diesem Land erheben.
Wir solidarisieren uns mit unserer Schwester und rufen zu einer Solidarischen Prozessbegleitung auf!
Kommt daher am 20.4 um 9:30 Uhr in die Kirchstraße.6 und zeigt euch solidarisch!

Unser Freund hätte eigentlich schon vor Wochen zurückkehren sollen, bleibt aber bei seinem Bruder, bis die Situation geklärt ist.
Dadurch ist er in eine sehr schwierige finanzielle Lage geraten, mit Schulden in Höhe von fast 4000 € (Unterkunft, Essen, Flüge usw.).

Lust auf einen bunten Ostersonntag?
Das Café Klatsche lädt euch am 20.04. ab 14 Uhr herzlich zu Kaffee, Kuchen und Flohmarkt im Regenbogencafé ein!
Wenn ihr alten Kram loswerden möchtet, bringt ihn gerne zum Verkaufen mit.
Die gesammelten Spenden verwenden wir für die Raummiete und den Erhalt des Cafés.
Es wird auch eine Jamsession mit live Mukke geben, also bringt gerne Instrumente zum musizieren mit.
Außerdem könnt ihr Kleidung für Siebdruck mitbringen oder einfach direkt eure neuen Stücke bedrucken.
Kommt vorbei, bringt Friends und Familie mit :)
