Three doors from one afternoon in Ericeira, Portugal, all the same shade of blue but nothing else alike. One sits under a checkerboard wall of azulejo tile. One has a devotional tile of São Miguel, Saint Michael the Archangel, spearing the dragon above the frame. One is watched over by a small ceramic dolphin, a nod to this surf town's relationship with the Atlantic. Same paint can, three different stories.
