  1. CW: Arizona legislature, voter rights

Arizona Republicans are weighing a special session to invalidate signatures for the ProtectEd petition before its July 2 deadline. The ESA voucher initiative needed about 255,949 signatures and organizers are turning in the last of them now.

Save Our Schools Arizona, Secular AZ, and CEBV are asking people to contact legislators and Governor Hobbs before the session convenes.

  3. URGENT CALL TO ACTION

Arizona lawmakers are attempting to force a last‑minute special session—just days before signatures are due—to undermine the Protect Education initiative.

A special session would require action from Gov. Hobbs’ office or a two‑thirds vote of the legislature.

Contact Gov. Hobbs and urge her to respect the will of Arizona voters by rejecting this backroom move.

  7. Two bills on Gov. Hobbs’ desk.

SB1741 lets religious groups pull students out of public school for off-campus instruction.

SB1573 bans religious law in courts but carves out ""Anglo-American legal tradition."" Critics say that exemption is the point.
