Dedicated in April 1981, the 1.3 acre garden was built through the generosity of Mrs. Loraine Miller Collins in memory of her late husband, Earl Burns Miller. Following three years of planning, in cooperation with California State University Long Beach, landscape architect Edward R. Lovell was chosen to oversee its creation. Another warm day. I went back to the car wash to take advantage of the monthly pass. But I don't really have a 'pass' and wondered how it works. No worries. As I pulled in, the gate opened right away...it recognized my license plate...😎 Why didn't I do this sooner? My car is pollen-free again...for a short while.
