Sigh.

RT @Redistrict
Between #AZ01, #AZ06 and #CA41, Dems' dreams of holding the House majority probably died tonight.

Math on #AZ06 and Kirsten Engel.
If current county by county percentages hold through remaining votes (based on numbers currently posted at CNN) then Ciscomani will end with 177,143 votes and Kirsten Engel with 175,507 or a deficit of 1,636 votes which is below the 0.5% threshold for a recount (0.4%).
To win Kirsten only needs to improve her current showing by 0.5% in the remaining ballots.

@doctorcdf No question they played a strong role. Top of the ticket always influences down ballot campaigns. At the same time, Arizona is trending towards Democrats so that too plays a role. Unless I have missed something every statewide seat will be held by a Democrat now. in addition, #AZ06 was redrawn to become more Republican but they may well lose it to my friend Kirsten Engel.

My friend Kirsten Engel closed the gap quite a bit in Arizona CD-6 with this latest count from Pima County. Could make all the difference in who holds the House the next 2 years.

2:30pm UPDATE - There's been a change! A previously "leans GOP" counted race has flipped and been called by the AP: #MD06 has been won by Krone (D).
This changes the House vote count from GOP 220-215 Dem, to 219-216 Dem, with several outstanding races yet to have their votes fully counted.
For Dems to win control, they must win at least 2 of:
