Today we started an extended 2 player game of #AYearInFarmValley where we'll each get 18 prompts instead of just 8. Three hours, and we're about a third of the way done. We're using the Alpha Centauri setting of our Genesys campaign with a mix of known NPCs and new ones. So far we're enjoying seeing how the game world evolves in this more cozy mode than the adventure & politics of the Genesys game. Characters have time to breathe, and there's no sense that we're wasting time on that.

I heard from some of my playtesters (from https://diceystories.com/a-year-in-the-forks/) that they had run #AYearinFarmValley with friends. It is so cool that other people have played it without my involvement and that they had a really fun time. I laughed out loud when I heard their set-up: a multi-level marketing cult using the derelict farm to grow crops for essential oils. It's so great to see the game be so flexible. I played a solarpunk setting with another group of playtesters recently, too.
