I'm back on my data bullshit again.

I pulled out my box-o-sensors to replace my dining room PM2.5 sensor during the latest regional climate crisis and I figured I'd rig up a replacement for my #awair with the wonky VOC sensor in my room while I'm at it.

Comparing them in Grafana for the past few hours seems they're comparable. I'll let the new rig gather data for a few days.

And a few other things. Can't seem to find a custom integration for my LoRaWAN security system. There's no public API I'm aware of, but was hoping not to have to reverse engineer it.

So yeah, if there's ever any question on the indoor air impact of nail polish... here's some data for you. VoCs took off throughout the house, and at 0 degrees Fahrenheit, I'm not about to vent. Guess I'm stuck with this crap until morning. Ugh. Smart house is angry.

Data gathered using #homeassistant local API for #Awair units. Three Omni (business) units, one Element. Two story house, central air. Units are two per floor, behind doors, so VoCs are traveling through the HVAC into the closed rooms.

VoCs can be the result of cleaning compounds or electric heating elements.

Ick.
