We are using Avenza and need to load images into the map. What formats are acceptable? For example we have loaded JPGs - but can HEIC format images be loaded as well?

Any #map nerds out there? Check out the #Avenza app, it's incredible! So many free maps (including USGS maps) and other highly detailed one available for free. Plus it works offline, pinpointing your location on the map in realtime even without a cell signal.

Making progress with georeferenced maps and the #Avenza app. Glued together a geo-PDF and a non geo, and Avenza sorts it out (albeit with a dangling process somewhere).

Sometimes, a search returns *exactly* what I was looking for. Looking at how to morph a rectangle (think spreadsheet) into an arc (think theater seating) and found:

"We can then use this to draw custom shapes, like this fictional campsite:"

"Worth noting, you can also use actual Python scripts at this point..."

"... PDF/geospatial... QGIS can export them and Avenza Maps can read them, meaning you can walk around on your maps..."
