Just pulling the speed chart I recorded on this trip, south of Providence. It's quite interesting to see the train controls taking the speed on an exponential response before setlling to the desired speed of 160 mph!

Acela Nextgen was a smooth ride overall. The two short 160 mph sprints before and after Providence, RI were a nice experience. Connecticut is pretty but horribly slow.

Confirmed sighting of the new #Amtrak #Acela trainsets in #Boston. There's still plastic wrap on the seats, and the old Acela in the background is the one running service today, but by God we might have the #AveliaLiberty running service soon enough!
