@moviestvposting since I’m the kind of person who reads old AV club comments from 2010 I came across this in the review for Breaking Bad Season 2 Episode 4? Maybe 3 but i think it’s 4.
Anyways, Jesse has always been my favorite character (so far, I’ve got a season and a half left unfinished but tbh I don’t see any other character usurping him at this point) and this comment really gets to heart of exactly why I like him so much

Just discovered my old middle and #highschool #AV clubs have really grown. When I was in highschool they did a weekly school wide #announcement style show. Now it looks like they produce #shortfilms, and #podcasts, and #news on #YouTube. Really warms my heart to see these little #Appalachian #kids learning and expressing themselves.

A proper #Enshittification tale.
For twenty years the AV Club was one of my favourite sites on the web, the content, the writers, even the comments were solid gold for pop culture geeks like me.
Then they got bought up, fired all the cool writers based in Chicago and moved the office to LA where they clearly never replaced the quality of the content and now the place is an AI ghost town.The #AVClub is dead 😢

Sony Watchman I rescued from a thrift store a few weeks ago. I don't presently have my VHF/UHF broadcasting stuff set up, so instead I connected an antenna directly to the RF out on my SNES, hence the weak signal.
