The final "new" (to me) movie that I watched in 2025 was #Avatar3 Fire & Ash which I just saw at my local #AMC in 3D (only because it was the only time that worked for me).
It's a 3 HOUR long movie. Just ask my bladder. 😉
There's A LOT of action in it & IMO it's the best of the 3 #Avatar movies to date even though the plot line of Avatar3 is much like #Avatar1 (2009) . It's a natural progression from #Avatar2 (2022) & it helps (but is not essential) to have watched 1 & 2 before watching 3.
It's also clear that 3 is just a set up for an #Avatar4 with 2 (not just 1) villains set up to make a return, which is currently scheduled for release in Dec 2029, if I live that long to see it.
In any event, IMO, Avatar3 worth watching if you haven't seen it yet & I'd rate it a 7 out of 10 even though I was pretty sure I knew how it would end only mid way thru it.

I watched #Avatar3 a few days ago. (no Spoiler - true also for #Avatar 1 & 2). This movie surprised me for several reasons.
1️⃣ The hidden take-home message is extremely clear. How such a #movie watched by hundreds millions people can not change in depth our relationship with nature ? Humans are also part of the biosphere.
2️⃣ How a movie criticising capitalism so hard could be funded by one of the most capitalist industry ? Big-money folks are making a lot of money (~2B$ / movie) on a movie in which they clearly are the bad guys.
3️⃣ It's clear that the scientists working in Pandora have little-to-no ethics: they accept to do science while contributing / endorsing the problem (especially in the 2nd and 3rd opus). That's also true IRL. How can they continue doing so after seing movies like this ?
4️⃣ The movie is all about inclusivity and accepting the differences. How some watchers continue to be racists ?
So, it takes me to conclude that either folks don't understand the hidden (not so hidden) messages, or they don't make the fact they are the RDA in the story 😳

CW: Film, Avatar, Fire and Ash
Habe gestern Avatar - Fire and Ash gesehen. Mit 3h 15 min ist der Film wirklich lang. Von mir aus hätte er 2h30min nicht knacken sollen.
Die Story ist die alte - und schnell erzählt: Menschen wollen Rohstoffe, Ureinwohner kämpfen, sind aber zu schwach, bis sich in letzter Sekunde die Natur dazu entscheidet, sich zu verbünden. Der Mensch wird erfolgreich zurückgeschlagen.
Schade, dass auch der dritte Teil nach genau diesem Schema verläuft. Neu ist nur, dass auch ein Stamm der Ureinwohner sich mit den Menschen verbündet.
Habe mich unterhalten gefühlt und habe schöne Bilder gesehen, aber die Story ist dünn. 😕

Since I just saw #avatar3 I guess I'll share my take on that too...
I'm starting to get interested in the world building and Na'vi politics and religion. I just wish those scenes weren't constantly interrupted with long, tedious gun battles.
Also, it needs some jokes. I know James Cameron is capable of leavening action and drama with humor, and I wish he'd do more of that here.
Visually, of course, it was stunning.

—Arg repetetetetitiv in seinen Standard-Situationen; ab und zu wackeliger Flow der Szenenwechsel.
—Oona Chaplin ist der Waunsinn.
—Als Softcore-Erotic-Fetischist und Hippie-Shit-Mystic-Depperl kam ich voll auf meine Kosten.
—Na’vi-Jesus-Teen Kiri ist meine Lieblingsfigur.
—Reichlich Tech- & Industrie-Shit-Zerstörung.
