Reserving a space for my bike on InterCity #trains is hard. It's easy if I only want to book a ticket that's only for the InterCity portion (in this case, #Avanti). Adding on my source (#SWR) and destination (#NorthernRailway) stations, and it says I can't book a space on the outbound service (as far as I can tell, neither provider has reservations or restrictions on bikes).

I will go to my local station tomorrow to see if they can sort it all out.

Avanti are running one direct train per hour to Manchester today (whether that’s normal Sunday service or special Bank Holiday shenanigans, I don’t know, nor do I care) - do we dare hope that WCML will be next on the list for being taken back into public ownership?
