In a little bit more than the time it takes to find & link some yt music I added to #peertubemusic (hardlimit is my new peertube client). My dodgy workflow using my phone's screenrecord is shown while the music plays on #auxio which is awesome. The track I randomly found thanks #seeker while make a #forkiversecats slideshow (included at no extra cost), the 12" now on my #discogs wantlist as not on #bandcamp and I dont ifruit. Ist mir bei #Bandcamp auch relativ egal: Musik von dort spiel ich lokal via #Auxio, #Jellyfin und #Audacious ab.

Après avoir remplacé Silence comme application SMS #Android (https://piaille.fr/@ciourte/114240081679264171), c'est le #lecteurAudio #VanillaMusic, également plus mis à jour, qui devient inutilisable pour lire de la #musique (plus de son, particulièrement avec les périphériques bluetooth).
J'ai essayé #Auxio qui a besoin de re-scanner la bibliothèque au démarrage pendant de longues secondes, reste actif en permanence si on ne désactive pas l'option de mise à jour automatique de la bibliothèque, et semble gérer Artiste ou Artiste de l'album mais pas les deux à la fois.1/2

I'm all in now. I decided to become a sponsor for this GitHub project because it's just so great.
Auxio works great as a standalone android app with music kept local on device.
So much thought went into making the UX useful, yet elegantly simple. Nothing feels out of place, and nothing is there as a gimmick. I could point out a few specifics in another post.

Hi y'all. Thanks everyone for the #suggestions.
I ended up scrolling through F-Droid and installing every music player I could find. I installed and tested some 10 apps 😂
Luckily, I found 2 great ones!They are #Auxio and #Symphony. Both feel great to navigate in, they look great, they are customizable... they feel like Spotify, basically, which I think is what I was looking for.
I'll use both for a few days and decide which one I like best.Here are the links, if anyone's interested in trying them out:

@hannesstein @jwildeboer Aim for a compromise: Use #Spotify to disover (some) new music, buy music on #Bandcamp fridays and physical media to support the artists. Even though I enjoy the convenience of streaming services I try to keep my favorite music stored free of DRM. Still using apps such as #Auxio on my #Android phone to play music. Setting up #Jellyfin on my new home is next, so I can stream all my stored music to any device.

And finally the still new #FDroidBasic client allowing automatic updates of installed apps.
