I just updated my Samsung Galaxy S25+. As it turns out, my phone was nine updates behind, and it was still running Android 15. There may have been notifications, but somehow I overlooked them. For someone who habitually updates his software, I guess that's why we have the "Auto update system" option in Settings > Developer options.

If you use Podman to run containers you have a way to update images automatically without the need to rely on external containers like watchtower.
With podman auto-update you can download the latest image, stop the container and restart it with the new image. And if it fails there is rollback.
All automatically and in the containers you mark.

Just updated to 17.6 a bit later than normal and almost had an heart attack when I opened the App Store and it didn't show anything to update. For a moment I thought Apple had force enrolled everyone into automatic updates, but luckily it was just a bug which required a reload of the view, a feature I didn't even know existed before now.
I guess that will happen eventually, and that will be the moment I throw it into the sea and switch to a dumb phone.

Believe Apple when they advise against putting new #HomeKit wine in old HomeKit skins. New and old protocol are incompatible. #HomePod and #AppleTV must both be running OS 16.5.
For some reason, AppleTV failed to #AutoUpdate. Once it was updated, #EveHome weathers started talking again.

@saluki Personally I prefer #flatpaks but if I had to manage dozens of machines with minimal intervention, I'd be tempted to go with #snaps because of the #autoupdate.

It's not that I mind the #autoUpdate, and even the auto-reboot is something I can find *some* understanding for, but it's that #Windows doesn't remember exactly which applications and windows were open, and where they were located, that drives me up the wall after every #WindowsUpdate...
I guess I should see if I can somehow disable just the auto-reboot part of it in #Windows10...
