I’m really happy with that sketch. I drew the contours with soluble watercolor pencil first and then painted over them. I used a wood pulp mixed media paper so I am particularly surprised how well it came out. You have to be more conservative with water on this kind of paper, but because the areas were smaller, I think it worked OK. I’m especially happy with the shadow. Once I added it, the whole thing gained a delightful illusion of depth. #watercolor #autmn
