Maybe extreme #autism is seeking empirical evidence over pre-made answers. Maybe what you call repetitive behaviour in young autists are attempts at performing experimental physics and you keep interrupting them and ruining the procedure in the name of #CBT. Maybe the violent reactions are just frustration building up in someone trying to do something you can’t rationalise from your subjective view.

Perhaps the #autist spends their life looking for the right question, not the principal answer.

Gott nytt år! 🥳 ✨ 🥳 ✨

I år kan verkligen bli hur som helst känns det som. Jag har ansökt om LSS och ska försöka komma vidare därifrån, då jag har kämpat och kämpat med att få tag på en fast anställning i snart 12år. Detta är inte hållbart.

Jag fick min autism-diagnos som vuxen och det tog ett tag innan det sjönk in att jag behöver hjälp. Det känns både bra och sorgset. Som att jag sörjer en normalfungerande version av mig, vilket i sig är ganska sorgligt.

Honestly, I don't know how fellow #Autist #GretaThunberg can put up with being jailed. In all my years of activism and mischief-making, I've managed to avoid that. TBH, jail is like my worst nightmare (because I was traumatized not once, but twice at a young age, by being locked in a closet -- a tale for another day). I always need to have an "escape route" where-ever I am. And that's why I showed the #ClamshellAlliance the secret path to the nuclear plant site (I knew it from when I clammed with my family), but did NOT go with them during the occupation. I mean, I was 14 years old and my grandmother (see my other posts) would have KILLED ME! (And she moved Heaven and Earth for me, so I didn't want to betray her trust). But yeah. Kudos to Greta! She's way braver than myself!

Im Sommer war ein Drehteam des ZDF für einige Tage bei uns zu Besuch und drehte eine Dokumentation über unsere Verlagschefin. Der Fokus lag dabei auf ihrer Neurodivergenz, da sie die Diagnosen Asperger Autismus und ADHS hat. Es ging in dieser Folge der Sendereihe darum zu zeigen, wie sich dieser Umstand auf das Leben und den Alltag auswirkt, insbesondere bei Frauen.

Neben Aspekten des Alltags und exemplarisch einigen wenigen Hobbies wurde natürlich auch über das Berufsleben gesprochen. So werden auch einige unserer Bücher gezeigt, das Verpacken einer Bestellung und es gibt ein Interview darüber was es bedeutet, derzeit als Kleinverleger zu arbeiten.

Re: posts asking "Why're there so many ____ here?
I mostly see these posts in reference to autistic or trans people. In some cases the comments joke "it must just be trendy right now."

We've always been "here" wherever here is - schools, laundromats, grocery stores, even social media. There's just no algorhythm keeping you in your bubble here. The fact that you chose not to hear or see us before doesn't make us new or trendy now. Your worldview is narrow & rude af #ZipIt

Nochmal: double empathy problem. #Autist*innen und #Allistics verstehen sich in der Interaktion nicht ohne Erklärungen. Autist*innen untereinander verstehen sich besser! Ist doch logisch! Man kann sich in peers leichter einfühlen und das gilt für beide Seiten.
2022 und eine massiv exkludierende Sichtweise und keiner sagt was.
