  3. A wee reminder that I'll be speaking at Warrnambool Library on 22 June 2024, 2-3pm, about Sherlock is a Girl's Name and the She-Wolf of Baker Street. It's free to attend, but you need to register as places are limited. Visit Warnambool Library to register:

  4. FOOD! That crowd-pleaser topic is the focus of the author panel I'm on this coming Saturday at the Passaic County Book Festival! I'll be exhibiting at the festival from 11-4; come say hey! Weasel Brook Park, Clifton, NJ #authortalk

  5. The random number generator says the project of the day is #ChristmasCryptid, which is good, because it's due to my editor by 28-June and it's missing the last few chapters. I almost never write the last 1/4 of the book in the first draft.

  6. It’s #IrishBookWeek and just a gentle reminder that my memoir is available from New Island Books (and of course in bookshops and wherever you buy!) 😊

Also of course to note that it's free too from the library or also helps if you request it in the library! 📚

Oct. 12th: How do you research real-world locations? Do you visit them?

No, I actually try to find articles on the different cultures, fashion trends, traditions, and folk tales that originate from the area. Then I read as much as I can. If I still feel like I'm not grasping something, I'll search for vlogs made by the local creators that discuss the thing I'm struggling to understand.
