Australia Post replied to my Customer Service complaint about their Harry Potter promotion. See attached image and https://theblower.au/@BinChicken/117176820941103696.
I was sad AusPost broke with over 100 years of tradition by mangling its logo for an advertising stunt, aligned with a TERF, trashed its diversity and inclusion policy, and hurt many LGBTQIA+ people.It's likely AusPost saw the scale of community outrage, cancelled the deal, then gave their Marketing Communications team the clean-up job for the PR mess. Triaging replies takes time; some were two weeks ago, I got one 3-4 days ago.
I should be relieved AusPost cancelled the promo, and grateful to the employee at AusPost for pasting together some boilerplate and clicking "send".
But, I'm still shocked by the hate-infused message AusPost broadcast to the community. Still upset at whoever at Australia Post approved it. And, waiting for official word that their heads have rolled.

#Australia, anyone know how small parcels from China arrive in #Perth so quickly?
A small parcel from Thailand has sat immobile in Sydney awaiting clearance for the last 8 days.
This seems about normal for #AustraliaPost coming from the #EasternStates.
But order something from #China and wooosh it's here quick.
