On a wet weekend - what better than a bright Leopard Orchid. This was taken in mid September a few years ago, but it has a long flowering season. Often mistaken for Donkey Orchids, it has smaller flowers, with more red markings. It also flowers earlier.

I can’t get out and bushwalk anymore - so I took a photo with my phone of this Clivia flower about to open in the border under the eaves of the flats next door. Clivias are a lily, which likes shade - except they need a bit of sun to flower!

Another early Spring/late Winter flower which may already be in bloom. It's Correa Reflexa, which usually has green flowers, but a local variation around Melbourne produces these pretty red flowers.

Autumn is fungus season - so here's a less common one - a Bell Fungus. It grows on burnt wood, so appears after bush fires. Not sure of this ID, but if right - deadly toxic - DO NOT EAT!

Just for a change - here’s a mystery yellow flower I can’t identify. I sent it to I-Naturalist - and they couldn’t tell me what it is either! The bush is in flower again right now and seems to flower through Winter. Any ideas?
